Product Description:
This handmade white planter is a part of our Hakeme Collection. This collection is inspired by traditional Japanese techniques, bringing the beauty of the past into a modern kitchen. Neutral colors and simple shapes create a clean design, while the unique brushwork creates visual appeal. Together, they create a subtle Japandi style in your home.
Just the right size for most smaller plants, we offer several sizes to find the perfect pot for your desk or shelf. Made without drainage holes, they can easily be drilled in with a ceramic drill bit. But, being gardeners ourselves, we've found the best way to care for our plants is leaving them in black nursery pots. Treating the decorative ceramic pots as exterior pots makes it easier to swap them out (and bottom water!) to suit your needs.
Not only are they stylish, they're also celebrating ceramic history! Hakeme means "brush stroke" in Japanese, but the technique was used by both Japanese and Korean potters. By taking a dark clay and painting pricy porcelain clay on top, they created an affordable style for the time. The combined clays create a more interesting look than just using porcelain alone. The white and dark contrast beautifully, and the brush stokes make every piece unique.
